What are injectable steroids?
Injectable steroids are anabolic steroids administered intramuscularly for faster and more effective absorption. Athletes and bodybuilders widely use them to gain muscle mass, increase strength, and improve post-workout recovery.
Benefits of injectable steroids
- Rapid absorption and bioavailability.
- Long-lasting effect due to the gradual release of the active substance.
- Less impact on the liver compared to tablets.
- Convenient dosing and course control.
Popular types of injectable steroids
- Testosterone propionate, enanthate, and cypionate.
- Nandrolone decanoate.
- Stanozolol.
- Trenbolone acetate and enanthate.
- Methenolone enanthate.
Use and dosage of injectable steroids
The dosage of injectable steroids varies depending on the type of drug, the user's experience, and the purpose of the cycle. General recommendations:
- Testosterone: 250-500 mg per week.
- Nandrolone: 200-400 mg per week.
- Stanozolol: 50 mg every other day.
- Trenbolone: 200-400 mg per week.
The course typically lasts from 6 to 12 weeks. It is important to follow the injection schedule and not exceed the recommended doses.
Medical injection technique
According to the instructions, steroids are injected deep into the muscle (the safest injections are into the gluteal muscle):
- Wash your hands with soap.
- It is advisable to heat the ampoule with the drug to 38 °C- 40 °C in a water bath, or, as a last resort, in the armpit.
- Wipe your hands with alcohol
- Wipe the ampoule with alcohol.
- Open the ampoule: make a cut on the neck, break off the tip, and wrap it in gauze. If there's a dot marking, there's no need to cut; just break off the tip.
- Use syringes with a 37 mm needle - these are 5 and 10 cc syringes.
- Fill the syringe and remove any air bubbles. However, when performing intramuscular injections, a few small bubbles are completely harmless.
- Treat the injection site with alcohol or another antiseptic (iodine, brilliant green, cologne, or, as a last resort, vodka).
- Take a horizontal position to avoid breaking the needle.
- Insert the needle into the upper, lateral square of the buttock (see picture) to its full length at a right angle
- Pull back on the plunger to ensure no blood enters the syringe, and you haven't injected into a blood vessel. Oil-based medications entering the bloodstream can be fatal.
- Inject the drug slowly
- Remove the needle and apply a swab soaked in alcohol (or another antiseptic) to the injection site.
- Gently massage the injection site for about 5 minutes.
Side effects of injectable steroids
- Changes in hormonal levels, suppression of natural testosterone production.
- Water retention and swelling.
- Increased blood pressure.
- Liver problems (although less common than with tablets).
- Increased aggressiveness or nervousness.
Contraindications for injectable steroids
- Impaired liver and kidney function.
- Cardiovascular diseases.
- Oncological diseases.
- Age up to 18 years.
- Individual intolerance to components.
Features of the use of injectable steroids
- Mandatory adherence to sterility protocols when administering injections.
- It is recommended to consult a doctor before starting the course.
- The post-cycle period is important for restoring hormonal balance.
- Supporting proper nutrition and exercise regimen.
Warnings
- Use only under professional supervision.
- Do not exceed recommended doses to avoid dangerous effects.
- Monitor your liver and blood pressure regularly during the course.
- Store in a dry place at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children.
The main conclusion is that to achieve good results, use steroids in moderate doses, in the right combinations, and within the optimal cycle duration. A typical cycle can yield approximately 5-7 kg of muscle gain while losing a significant amount of fat. With appropriate use, results will be stable, rollbacks will be minimal, and side effects will generally be absent. However, according to literature, side effects occur in 15-20% of cases, with 3% of these being irreversible.
