Testosterone suspension is an aqueous solution of non-esterified testosterone (without an ester residue, unlike other forms used), which is characterized by a rapid onset of action and a high frequency of side effects, in particular, painful injections. Many preparations contain oil or propylene glycol as a solvent. It is mainly used only before competitions, as it is no longer detectable after 1 day.
Testosterone suspension, created in the 1930s, is the world's first anabolic steroid. With no ester residue in its formula, each milligram of active ingredient is 100 mg of “pure” testosterone, unlike other forms, where part of the dose is ester.
Be prepared for side effects such as high androgenic activity, the possibility of acne, fluid retention, and gynecomastia. In this regard, PCT is mandatory, and anti-estrogens should be taken from the first day of the course.
Effects of testosterone suspension for bodybuilders
In general, the effects of the suspension are the same as those of other forms of testosterone, which you can read about in the main article. Here we will focus only on the distinctive features.
- Very short half-life.
- Maximum fast anabolic effect, felt literally the next day of the course.
- There is an opinion that maximum growth is observed in those muscles into which the solution is injected, so it is often used for target muscles. However, this opinion is erroneous (otherwise, asymmetric or local hypertrophy would be observed, which would look as repulsive as when using synthol).
- In general, the pharmacological properties of testosterone water suspension are similar to those of propionate.
Side effects
The pharmacokinetic feature of the drug (rapid increase in blood concentration) provides not only pronounced positive effects, but also severe side effects. Testosterone suspension is characterized by high androgenic activity, often causing acne, fluid retention, and gynecomastia. For this reason, PCT is mandatory (antiestrogens are taken from the first day of the course). It has a toxic effect on the liver only in very high doses. Painful injections (although to a lesser extent than with propionate and Winstrol).
