Application and dosage of Tiromel

The optimal dosage of the drug is determined in each case individually. More often, they start taking 50 mcg per day, 2 times a day (25 mcg each). The dose is gradually increased to 150–300 mcg per day, so that the body gradually gets used to the hormone. Reception is divided into 3 times a day. The drug is not taken after 18:00. It is used in cycles up to 6 weeks. Breaks between courses - 3-4 weeks.

Reception of T3 is also stopped gradually. 2 weeks before the end of the cycle, the dose begins to be gradually reduced until it is completely canceled.

While taking the drug, you need to monitor the pulse rate. Side effects

• hyperthyroidism: The use of liothyronine can cause an excess of thyroid hormones in the body, which can lead to a condition called hyperthyroidism. This can manifest as nervousness, anxiety, irritability, increased appetite, weight loss, palpitations, increased sweating, hand tremors, and other symptoms;
• heart problems: Liothyronine can affect the activity of the heart, causing rapid heart rate (tachycardia) or arrhythmias. In patients with cardiac problems or arrhythmia, liothyronine should be used with extreme caution;
• bone tissue processing: Long-term use of liothyronine in high doses may cause a decrease in bone density, which increases the risk of osteoporosis;
• overexcitation and insomnia: Some patients may experience overexcitation, insomnia, or difficulty falling asleep as a result of taking liothyronine;
• headaches: Some people may experience headaches when using the drug;
